The service

ChartPNG renders a Chart.js config as a PNG image. It is provided as is, with no uptime commitment, support guarantee or service level agreement. It may change, slow down or stop.

Free plan

• Images carry a chartpng.dev watermark.
• No monthly quota is counted, but we may limit or block clients whose volume looks like abuse.
• Images up to 4 megapixels (width × height × dpr²).
• We may apply rate limits, and block clients that send too many requests.

Pro plan

• €9 a month, billed by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar handles payment, invoices and sales tax.
• No watermark, up to 10,000 images a month and larger images.
• Your API key is issued by Polar when you pay and shown on your Polar purchases page. It stops working when the subscription ends.
• Cancel any time through Polar and you are not charged again. We remove your key after the paid period ends, normally within a few days.
• For a refund, write to hola@chartpng.dev. Refunds are processed by Polar, and Polar's own terms for buyers also apply to the purchase.

API keys

A key is personal to you. Do not share it or publish it. We can revoke a key that is shared, resold or used to abuse the service, without a refund for the current period.

Acceptable use

Do not render content under the chartpng.dev domain that is illegal, hateful or deceptive, and do not use the service to attack, overload or probe it. Chart images are served from our domain, so what you render carries our name.

Your data

You are responsible for the data you send and for having the right to use it. Chart data in a GET URL is public (see the privacy page). We do not claim any rights over your charts.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages or for decisions made from a chart. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the fees paid for the service in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may change these terms. We will announce changes by email to paying customers or on this site, and update the date above. Using the service after a change means you accept it.
